How to find words faster in a word search
- Look for rare letters first. Letters like Q, X, Z, J and K stand out in a grid, so words that contain them are the quickest to spot.
- Scan for the first letter. Pick a word, find every place its first letter appears, then check the letters around each one.
- Check every direction. Words can run across, down and diagonally, so look both ways along each line.
- Hunt for double letters. Pairs like LL, OO or EE are easy to spot and narrow down words such as BALL or MOON.
- Work row by row. On big grids, slide your eyes along one row at a time instead of jumping around.
- Save hints for the last word. In Word Search Party, a hint shows where a word starts, which is perfect when one word is hiding from you.
